BSRA requires a two-person minimum reservation. This is to ensure your safety and for your enjoyment. Share the experience with a friend!
You must be at least 18 years old to rent our kayaks or canoes without adult supervision.
No one under 12 will be allowed to kayak. Children under the age of 12 may canoe with an adult, however, children 5 and under will not be allowed to canoe.
Please arrive at our office no later than 30 minutes prior to your launch time. We must provide you with instructions and you must be fitted with the appropriate vessel and life-vest.
All fees are to be paid at the time of reservation. Reservations can be made online at bigsiouxriveradventures.com. If a time-slot appears to be unavailable please call us at 1-712-568-OARS, there may still be availability.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure. Please call us to cancel your reservation. If you fail to cancel your reservation within 24 hours of your departure, you will forfeit your rental purchase.
No refunds will be provided if you do not show or you failed to cancel your reservation.
We reserve the right to cancel your excursion or shorten your trip length if you are late for your scheduled launch time.
In case of inclement weather or hazardous water levels a rain check will be issued to you. Please call us if you are in question of weather or water levels for your scheduled float. Times and floats are subject to change at any time we feel it may be a hazard for you to be on the river.
Life-vests are required at all times while on the river. NO EXCEPTIONS. This is for your safety. We recommend bringing your own life-vest for a proper fit but will provide one if needed.
No outside inflatables are allowed.
Alcohol is permitted but it is at your own risk. Drink responsibly and enlist a designated driver.
Equipment is inspected regularly. If any equipment is damaged you may be assessed a fee for the damage or replacement. Please inspect your rental items prior to your trip and bring items to our attention.
We request that all trash is collected during your trip and never thrown into the river or on land. We want to do our part in ensuring that we keep the Big Sioux as clean as possible. We can dispose of the trash at the end of your journey.
Please, no glass items.
We will not tolerate disorderly behavior. You may be asked to leave our premises immediately without refund and we may revoke future service.
Please respect private landowners. Stay off private land and remain on the river banks.
Do not interfere with any wildlife you may encounter.
If using a radio or speakers please keep music at an acceptable level.
LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS
Big Sioux River Adventures is not responsible or liable for lost, stolen or damaged items on the Big Sioux River, our property and in our vehicles. Please keep valuables on your person or in your locked vehicle. We recommend having a dry-pack for items that may be damaged by water.
